Shyness

I used to be very, very shy when I was younger, & I was uncomfortable everywhere I went,
but it was who I was, so I got used to it. When I grew up and outta my shell, I started
noticing all the shy people in this world...& I didn't like them... Shy people never say what
they truly mean, & they're hard to talk to. I'm an extremely honest person, & I guess that's
why I'm writing this post. I don't like to crack someone's shell, I would never...they should
come out on their own, like I did. But if a shy person is happy being shy, they shouldn't change.

The honest truth is; Shy people usually never get what they want. People who
aren't shy just go for it, sometimes without thinking (which can be a bad thing...).

I do understand why they're shy, I used to be like them, but to tell you the secret of the world;
shy people have it hard. They usually don't get the best jobs. They hurt more, emotionally.
I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but I hope this post made you think. :)

When I was younger; naive & very stupid, I thought I would never be loved. I believed in love but I thought I'd never find my soul mate. I think it's just something women & girls think sometimes. Very few never fall in love, but those who do know it's the best thing in the world. I don't believe in the cliche love or soul mates but I know I will always be loved, because just like life goes on, love does too. You have it in you; to love someone beautifully.

Something that annoys me...

…is people who don’t know anything (or enough) about a subject but talks about it like they do. I’m referring specifically to art now.

Personally, I think anyone who fully wants to be respected & listened to needs to have a passion for art. If they don’t, they won’t completely understand, learn and feel.

These misled human beings tend to say (about art): “What/Who is that?”, “Why is it red/blue/whatever?”, “Why don’t you change the (insert whatever here)?”, “(insert silly joke about the art here)”. Annoying every time.

Should those who fall off the criteria shut up? Not at all, just don’t listen to them, because yes, people can say stupid things, but learn to know when to listen & not, constructive criticism is important.

1) Egoists.

2) People who are well educated but have no life experience. (F*ck ya'll!)

3) People who think they're NEVER EVER wrong about ANYTHING whatsoEVER. (F*ck ya'll too!)

4)People who are always lucky. I'm sorry, but that ain't fair! I haven't had much luck so far, & lucky people can go fall off a cliff or something.

5) People who think they're so God d*mn perfect.

6) Straight A students who don't need to study. (Seriously, they don't do s*it while the rest of us study like h*ll & still get lousy grades... Come on...!)

I finally watched The Twilight Saga: Eclipse today. Weird thing is, usually, I dislike romance movies badly, so why would I even watch it? Vampires & wolves are cool ok!? Plus the story is a lil' interesting...but that's it. I'd pick a cliche «guy movie» over a chick flick any f*cking day, though.

Anyway, the Twilight movie made me think. (Of course, something always does.) & before I continue, I just HAVE to say that I can't stand bloggers most of the time, especially those who talk about their private life (like; today I had sex with my bf & we walked on the beach). Sorry I don't give a crap. I dunno, they just piss me off. I just don't wanna know details or something. Bleh. I try not to talk about my life, & so far I'm doing good I guess. :D I just talk about myself? XD Sounds boring...but I do it for me.

Here goes:

The (frickin') movie is about love. Yeah, I said it, it's not just about badass vampires & wolves (even though I wish it was). People love 'love'. For example, blogs about love get a lot of hits, romance movies are popular (hint, hint), romance TV-shows too of course, love songs, heart shaped pillows too, even heart shaped chocolate! (Scary!) People feed (not referring to candy now, jus' sayin') on this...'love'. It's so...annoying! People want it like it's the only thing that matters?! Sure, it seems like «love is all you need sometimes», but last time I checked we have a lot of needs. It's great to be in love, feeling like you're on the top of the world & all that crap, but you're not gonna be in love forever. Sorry to say, but once you've got that 'love', you want more & more & more: cars, a house, a kick ass job, go visit every country on Earth, make a robot, fight a bear, play WoW all day. At some point you'll get bored. But in this frickin' movie they only need love?! I know it's just a movie, but all these teenage girls are so in love with 'true love'. You believe Edward (or Jacob for that matter) is real? I doubt it. If guys are like that...damn...creepy & way too perfect. This Bella & Edward are supposed to be so 'perfect'? Well, I think this Edward is loaded with cash; he & his family drive sexy cars & live in a pretty house & whatnot...sure, he can look for f*ckin' love, he must be bored. XD Ok, I'd do that too if I was loaded, it'd be nice to share my s*it with someone then, but most of us don't have a lot of money, so we have more needs? Gah! Everyone is too caught up in finding love it's just...eww. Especially that 'perfect love'. Nothing & no one are perfect! Whatever happened to being realistic? I'd love to watch a super realistic movie one day. But until then I'll have to live among people who dream of love & nothing more. So, so sad.

Try losing everything & come back to me. You'll be happy by the smallest things then. I believe; live hard, enjoy more. & remember to love yourself, too.

...was weird, interesting & tough.

I was scanning a bunch of family photos yesterday while talking to my mom about my/our past, & it got me thinkin'... We forget so much of our past as a child/baby, & that is, to me, really creepy. Sometimes when I'm told what I did, I think to myself; "Wtf?! I'd never do that!". It's like we're robots with memory loss. My mom keeps mentioning; "You were like that, & that, & that when you were little.", but I'm not close to being like that now. Creepy, right?!

Being a kid is great. Play all day & make up whatever excuse not to do your homework. I miss it. All that's left now...is no time.

Anyway, I took photos at this fashion show thingy the other day. I was asked to 2 days before the thing...& I went for it. I had other plans, but hey, I don't get to go to fashion shows everyday, right?! ;D It wasn't anything "serious", it was more about having fun while showing off clothes.
My boyfriend tagged along. He had no choice but to be my assistant. He held my rain coat over my head while I was snapping photos, of course while it rained, haha. <3

So, a while back a friend told me to keep on writing, 'cause I dunno? They agreed with what I wrote, & I said what they always wanted to say but couldn't? Heh, something like that.

Life's f*cking unfair. I tried to plan it, but it always went down the drain. I'm done doing that. Screw it. From now on I won't have ANY expectations, I'll spare myself from pain, or; too much of it. I'll just go day by day; do what I love & just try my best.

I know what I want though. I have dreams, but I know they'll most likely not come true. Maybe if I'm lucky & sh*t, yes, but I doubt it. See, now I won't end up hurt if they don't come true. Go me. It doesn't mean I won't try to make them come true though, 'cause yes...you have to move your bum if you want your dreams to become reality. :)

I hate how things are easier said than done. Not to brag, but I give nice advice to people, but I don't really follow them myself. I tell myself wise things & all that...but I still feel like crap. Sometimes hearing the same sh*t from another person is different... How weird is that.

I've had a two day Cougar Town marathon. Firstly, the editing is BAD, Christ... Secondly, bad acting now & then. Well, the show made me feel better, so that's why I watched it. The show made me think about rebounds ('cause the characters had some in the show)...& 'cause of that & some other stuff. Everyone is desperate after a breakup, I understand why people hook up with someone right away. It's like...being in love with being in love. Someone always (99% of the time) gets hurt in the end. That's why I don't do it myself. Anyway, 'cause of that, I checked a forum or two about how long it takes to get over someone...& oh my goodness, it seems to take people a long bloody time. I thought I was the only one... Most people say you don't really truely get over someone. I agree with that. As long as you have memories, you'll remember. Especially your first love, gosh, how you'll remember that forever indeedy, no matter what you do, haha...I hate it too. It was new & exciting & blah blah.

If you have a bad breakup, it usually doesn't take that long to "get over"/move on, 'cause you WILL understand you don't want to go back. But it depends on how you handle things of course. If you broke up a GOOD relationship, it takes longer. Also, usually you'll always think back & actually want to go back, 'cause yeah, you had no bad reason to end it, so you have good thoughts when you think back, & not bad ones that make you want to throw up & think about something else. Those are so "Juliet & Romeo"-ish. Sad, sad crap. Someone said "How can you fall in love again if you're in love with your ex?" Good question. I guess some people can be in love with more than one person? Never happened to me though, yet, so don't ask me.

I even read about people who met years later & their feelings came back like they were in love yesterday. Can someone please kill the human brain?! It stores crap for wayyy too long. I don't like it.

Cameras...are good friend of mine, & I do love all of them, but I also hate them. They piss me off to the extent that I feel like they're a bunch of lame liers, which they kind of are, & I'll explain why. I'm sure you're thinking; "Oh, they lie because everyone uses Photoshop to manipulate their photos,", no, that's not why.

Ok, so, put the tech stuff to the side (which also pisses me off), & let me just add 1 thing to the hate list:

WE GAIN 10 POUNDS OR SO ON CAMERA!!!

No wonder models have to be so bloody skinny, 'cause they'll look "more normal" on camera, well, plus they'll fit clothes & look taller & skinny is what the fahion industry wants & blah blah, you know. But geez. I've been googling the whole "we look bigger on camera" thing, & they say it depends on the lens, obviously. BUT a photo is 2D & not 3D, so it makes sense we look bigger due to lack of (extreme) contrast, light, colors, etc., which we get in real no matter what. It's annoying though, that too many lenses make things wider, & not taller as well.

Stupid cameras.

I felt like testing the subject & took a few selves. I'm not a skinny person by nature or anything, but I know you can fool the camera by picking a nice angle...so, look at this:

^ I look skinner here than I would if I chose another angle. It looks like I took it from normal perspective, right? Well, I didn't. I chose bird's perspective (bird's-eye view), so, yes, that = smaller. PS: No, I did NOT manipulate ANY of the photos in this post.

^ Same shit with this. Ok, so I also did a pose that makes me look skinner, but still. ;) I would gladly love to look like this, lol. :P

So, me & a friend made this thingy for school. It's supposed to be installation art. We made paper butterflies & flowers & put them in a hallway.

Kinda cute, jus' sayin'.

The title of the thing is: "Det var en gang..." (Norwegian). It means (not literally) "Once upon a time...", but literally it is: "There was a hallway...". Lol, that's why we called it that...'cause...yeah, it's a hallway.

Yes I do. Every time someone mentions love, I want to puke. I can't stand it. It makes me angry. For some reason I can write stories & poems about it, but when I do I end up feeling sad...& sometimes I cry. When I was younger I believed in it, but I was naive & stupid. Today I can't listen to love songs or read about it or play love related games without being extremely annoyed/sad.
I won't believe in it. It's just a word. Humans wrote about it ages ago already, & back then relationships weren't so very romantic. Because they started writing love novels, women started daydreaming, & all of a sudden love was real. Love seems fake to me. Love is poetry.

Even though I hate it, I still use the words "I love you". It might not make sense...but when I use those words I really mean "I care about you, a lot".

I was thinking; Maybe I should start blabbering more on here. Not that a lot of people read this blog, but I feel better when I write down my thoughts...I guess...so why not?! It's my place to blog whatever I want whenever I want, so I'll do it (from now on). I always liked writing, but I stopped doing it after I was 16 or so. I didn't have much time, then I got a new best friend: photography. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to write; all day long. I had the creativity, ideas, motivation...just not time. God, how I hate time. I still love writing, actually more than I love anything. One day I want to write a novel, most likely in English. Maybe I'll do it when I'm an old lady...when I have time. I'll live in a cute little house in the middle of nowehere, somewhere warm. Sit on the balcony with a cat or two, & some tea. Just write & feel the hot breeze over my shoulders. Ok, I'm not saying I'm looking forward to becoming old, I just can't wait to have nothing to do... Is it rude of me to say that?

That's not really what I wanted to write about today...still. Let's switch over to today's...umm, topic? Whatever to call it.

Ok, so let's go:
I'm a person who thinks way too much. I worry. I stress. You know. It's taking its toll on me, & today while trying to chill with a cup of coffee, I randomly thought: "Hey Victoria, you're supposed to be your own boss, savior, queen... You make yourself happy. You have the happy feeling inside you, nothing & no one can take it away from you. You don't need anyone or anything, only yourself. If you know this, you'll always be strong & happy."

It kind of made me feel better. But then again, it's easier said than done. Humans are so dependent on things/others... Sometimes I am too. Might be 'cause we're born to be dependent? Well...in today's "modern" society we shouln't be dependent at all, or we'll be miserable. Humans are too selfish & will screw you over now & then. But most people are nice of course.

Last thing I want to say; I truely from the bottom of my heart, HATE feelings. The human brain is a piece of shit. We're way too smart. Even though we might be able to make flying cars in the future, the cost is sadness. I'm sure if we were more stupid, we wouldn't be so depressed. Happiness would come easy. Dog life anyone? Is that rude too?

I was supposed to have a shoot with a model in a studio a while back,
(first time ever shooting in a studio) but the model canceled.

When I was 16 & addicted to MySpace, I wanted a cool header for my page, so I googled "f*ck" (without the * of course), & found French Connection's logo which said "FCUK time". I had no idea they made clothes etc though, 'till recently.
I remember people thought I was f*cked in the head 'cause I had "FCUK" on my page.
Why thank you people. FCUK ftw.

Anyway, on another note;
I was looking through old photos today, when I stumbled upon creepy & funny photos (according to me).

So if you don't like randomness, move along.

^ Taken with my old digital camera. I took these photos in my old garden. Wow, people gave me creepy faces.

The left one: I didn't mean to be so far away (that's one of the reasons why it's difficult to take good self portraits...). & also, I didn't mean to look like a ghost.
The right one: I thought I was more in the frame, but nope...

Lemme start off with the notice:
I decided to start blogging more frequently. I'm not just going to post photos, I'll post links to epic stuff, etc etc etc. No worries though, I'll try to keep it interesting. & maybe I'll allow comments from now on. :D

Over to the rant:
If you want to skip, please do, but jus' sayin', you might find what I'm about to say thought provoking.

The topic is visual art critique (talking about art seen on a monitor).
Ok, so every monitor has its own setting etc. The thing is, when we look at the same picture we don't see the same "picture". When I say that, I mean; for one person the image might be too dark, for someone else it's too bright, for another it's in the middle of the two. So when a person says "I think this image would be better if it was darker", it might, for the artist, already be too dark. Get what I'm saying?

Tricky topic... Either way though, we need art critique. :) I just wanted to point this out, & make ya'll think for a sec.

So, it's been forever once again. I thought I'd have more time to update my blog this summer, but of course not. :/ I have no idea how often I'll update my blog from now on, but everytime I do update it, I post a lot of photos at least, that's kinda good...I think.

Anyway, I had a photoshoot with a couple back in July. They decided what to do, where to shoot, what to wear, etc. I did direct them, come with tips & choose one of the 3 locations where to shoot, though, better than nothing.

To be honest, I like to decide mainly everything when shooting, I feel I have more control... I didn't take a lot of "good" photos, & it annoys me. But oh well, sometimes I have to cope.

Below you'll find outtakes from the shoot.
